Well I have the thing for you this Jacked up steak salad recipe will hit you in the right spot after a workout! With its protein packed ingredients we cant go wrong here.
How to make it
Step 1.
Step 2.
Step 3.
Step 4.
Step 5.
Step 6.
Lets get chopping with your leafy greens and veggies. Were gonna chop our red leaf lettuce and our romaine. (you can also use any other greens that you would like Ex, kale, mixed greens, spring mic etc.) Chop your onions, pepperoncini, red radishes, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers.
Once those are chopped and set to the side begin to boil your eggs. Fill your water to a pot and once your water is at a roaring boil drop your eggs inside and let them cook for 10 minutes.( if your like soft boil eggs then let them go for 6 minutes and place them in a ice bath immediately after.)
While your eggs are resting in the ice bath get your bacon and lets get it going until its crispy. Once your bacon is done take it out of the pan and let it cool. DONT THROW THAT OIL AWAY! Were going to use that oil to cook our steak.
Now season your steak on each side with salt and pepper you can add a little lime juice as well if you have it for a boost in flavor if you would like. Now give your steak a nice sear on each side until its cooked to the desired temperature that you like.
Now that your steak is done lets get to our vinaigrette. With this vinaigrette you will be licking the bowl! Lets start by adding equal parts of olive oil to red wine vinegar, Begin to whisk those and add your garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, sugar and oregano. Don't forget salt and pepper to taste as well.
Now time for the finisher! Best way to plate Place your mixed green sat the bottom then begin to build your salad in height, from the onions to the pepperoncini's to the hard boiled eggs, bacon and anything else that you may have added. Finally add your sliced steak pieces and finish wit your vinaigrette and Viola you have a jacked up steak salad!
