Shrimp & Grits

Ingredients: 

  • Shrimp 

  •  Bacon

  • Green Onions

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Parsley

  • Grits

  • Butter

  • Cheese

  • Chicken Stock

Lookin for Shrimp and Grits. This is the right recipe for you. With a bold flavor of the south it will definitely blow your socks off. Is it a breakfast thing, or is it a lunch thing that's the best part its both. A best brunch option that you can enjoy. With a combination of amazing flavors you will be able to blow any body's menu item out the party.

Bring chicken stock, water, and salt to a simmer over medium heat.

Slowly add grits while whisking to avoid lumps.

Cook grits covered over medium-low heat, stirring frequently ( about 15 minutes for regular grits, 5 minutes for quick-cooking grits). once finished Remove from heat and stir in butter. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

(if you want to add cheese then this would be the perfect time.

Once your grits are done set them aside. Lets Bring a pan to high heat and add our smoked bacon and let that cook for about 15 minutes or until it gets nice and crispy

Once your bacon is done do not throw away that grease! We are going to use the oil from the bacon to cook our shrimp! Don't forget to season your shrimp with whatever you like. Presumably salt, pepper, Cajun seasoning and lemon juice and garlic and let them cook on each side until they are done.

Once there done you are now ready to plate, Preferably plating method would be Grits on the bottom as the base then add your shrimp and let it sit on grits and break up your bacon and let it fall naturally. if you any other garnish be sure to use that, scallions, celery leaf's anything and finish with seasoning.
